The laboratory

Oilloc was created by me, Lorenza, in the heart of a turbulent and lively Naples: a unique city, which I deeply love, with its intense colors and inexhaustible creativity. With my art, I try to rewrite its contradictions, looking at them from an angle that brings out its most authentic and surprising nuances.

From this energy, my ceramics take shape, a small enchantment that allows me to escape and travel to imaginary and surreal worlds, where sweetness and romanticism coexist, but also darker and more visionary nuances.

Oilloc is not just a job: it is my act of love, the way I transform emotions, dreams, and contrasts into objects that tell a story.

Each sculpture is hand-modeled, without molds. The differences in details, nuances, and texture give it uniqueness and its own personality. No two pieces are identical.

 

About me:

My name is Lorenza and I am a small Neapolitan artist.

I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, where I graduated in Sculpture and specialized in New Technologies of Art.

During my years at the Academy, I also developed a strong interest in screen printing and woodcutting, working with the water and ink technique, a world I continue to enthusiastically explore.

My connection with art, however, started much earlier: as a child, I drew with anything I could get my hands on. And, having grown up on bread and craft fairs, I couldn't help but find myself participating in a long string of festivals, market exhibitions, and independent publishing events that evolved my work, fueling it with new ideas and possibilities and allowing me to experiment non-stop.

All these experiences have left me with valuable baggage: the people I met along the way, the sincere exchanges, and the energy of those festivals have helped shape who I am today. Without all of this, Oilloc would not exist.

Accompanying me on this journey is my mother, my faithful companion and teacher, who together with me had the crazy idea of opening a small shop and workshop that, for about two years, has become my special place.

At Oilloc, I create, have fun, and organize creative workshops and pottery classes.

Oilloc, however, is above all a place of connection: working with people enriches me and makes everything more real. Every encounter sparks something, and that spark is the direction in which I continue to move.
